Measure Formulas as Text

Jun 2, 2015 at 11:36 AM
Hi

I downloaded DaxStudio 2.1.1 and tried to follow the steps of the DAX STUDIO solution:
http://www.powerpivotpro.com/2012/10/other-better-ways-to-get-all-measures-as-text/

I can't seem to locate the same DMV tab or anything that is proposed there.

I managed to connect my power pivot data to "dax studio".

Appreciate the help.

The DMV tab is still there, that row of tabs was just moved to the bottom of the window when we released v2.

You can also just paste in the command text from the first technique in that article and run that

SELECT DISTINCT [Table], [Object], [Expression]
FROM $system.discover_calc_dependency
WHERE Object_Type = ‘Measure’

Thanks!
I am trying that now.

Wonder if you have any experience in a workaround of a known problem?
I changed the path of the source I used (in the power query editor) and that broke the connection, so now the data can't be imported when I refresh.
I thought of creating a duplication to the table and all the formulas (that is why I want to have the formulas as text) and then link them to the model and afterwards delete the table with the broken connection.

Any smarter way?

Sadly, I got an ERROR- "Query(1,12) The syntax for 'from' is incorrect"

BBselect * from $SYSTEM.MDSCHEMA_MEASURES

(My tab/table in power pivot is called BB)

When I omitted the BB in the beginning of the command it worked and I got all the measures.

However, I didn't get the expression & description, but other less relevant data.
